Corrugated plastic appeared in the 1970s, and quickly won its space in the manufacture of various items. Obtained from the polypropylene extrusion the corrugated plastic is a honeycomb structure sheet with numerous applications and advantages over the traditional materials, given their characteristics such as strength, lightness, impermeability, practicality, flexibility, and versatility.

Resistant to water, humidity, heat, and shocks, the corrugated plastic does not allow mildew or other foreign matters to form, what has motivated its increasing use in the packing sector. Nontoxic and 100% recyclable, it is a material which does not harm nature, and is a friendly alternative to the environmental preservation principles.

The corrugated plastic allows - in the extrusion itself - additives to be added for Anti-flame, Anti-UV, Anti-corrosive, and Anti-static purposes, increasing its resistance to foreign agents, besides allowing it to be printed in Silkscreen or flexography, upon being given a Corona Treatment to make its surface adherent to the paint.
